THANK YOU FOR A WONDERFUL, SAFE AND FESTIVE HOLIDAY! WE ONLY HAD A FEW ILLEGAL FIREWORKS GOING OFF. REMEMBER, THE HOLIDAY IS OVER AND ALL FIREWORKS ARE NOW ILLEGAL. PLEASE REFRAIN FROM SETTING OFF ANY AND ALL FIREWORKS UNTIL NEW YEARS EVE.
Please remember to lock your vehicles and residences. Keep all valuables out of sight or in your possession at all times! Break Ins do occur. If you notice suspicious people in the area, please don’t hesitate to contact the Cass Co Sheriff’s Department!

Do you need to dig in your yard??? It is a Federal law that you must first call before you dig!! Also, if you are planning to build, add to, remove, or move a structure, you must talk to Betty Meyer PRIOR to starting the project! This includes fencing, shed, house, patio, garage and other structures.
Need a place to hold your next meeting, shower or seminar? The Manley Community Building is for rent! Downstairs/Kitchen (up to 25 people) is $50. The whole building is $100. For more info and to schedule an event, contact Jolene Dalton, Village Clerk at the office.
If your 911 address is not clearly marked on your residence, you need to get this accomplished immediately. It is required by Village Ordinance. If you need assistance in doing this, the Board will help. Several homes still do not have this done! Since it is an actual ordinance, you may be held responsible for this non-action!
***Letter received from a Manley resident……….
To the Manley Board,
Thank you for purchasing the tornado siren. Once it is up, we will all feel more safe.

Veterans Concert
Enjoy an evening of FREE, LIVE Music! The Nebraska National Guard’s 43rd Army Band will be performing at Urban Park, Springfield, Nebraska on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 @ 7:00 p.m.
The 43rd Army Band is commanded by Chief Warrant Officer Brian Anderson and consists of citizen soldiers who bring a wide variety of skills, talents and longevity to the unit. These soldiers hold a variety of civilian jobs and skills that contribute a great deal to the Band’s success. This group meets one weekend a month and 15 days during the summer to rehearse and fulfill military training requirements.
The 43rd Army Band is the Nebraska National Guard’s musical ambassadors performing at a variety of community and military events throughout the state. During annual training the 43rd Army Band either replaces a full-time Army band on an active Army installation or supports local communities and recruiters .
The Colonel George S. Howard “Citation of Musical Excellence” is awarded to active duty, reserve, or national guard bands by the John Philip Sousa Foundation. Even though this is an annual award, military bands are only considered for this award every three years. The 43rd Army Band leads all active and reserve component bands with eight consecutive citations spanning 24 years of musical excellence.
Bring your lawn chairs, bug spray and if you need assistance we are here to help!
